Job Description

True are partnering with a leading M&E contractor delivering major building services projects across Northern Ireland. With a long-standing reputation for technical excellence and a strong pipeline of work, they’re now looking to appoint a Mechanical Contracts Manager to take responsibility for a major healthcare project.\n\nAs Mechanical Contracts Manager, you’ll oversee multiple projects ranging from £5M–£10M based in Belfast, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction. You’ll manage procurement, subcontractors, labour, and technical compliance, while acting as the key client-facing lead throughout project delivery.

Experience across healthcare, steam, or medical gas services would be beneficial, though not essential\n\nThis is a role for an experienced mechanical leader who thrives in managing complex projects and has the commercial and technical expertise to deliver at scale.\n\nMechanical Contracts Manager Package:\n\n * £70,000–£80,000 basic + car allowance\n\n * Private healthcare scheme\n\n * Flexible working patterns and supportive work-life balance policies\n\n * Career development with structured training (internal & external)\n\n * Long-term pipeline across healthcare, commercial, education, and residential sectors\n\nWe’re looking for someone with:\n\n * 5–10 years’ experience in a Mechanical Contracts/Project Management role\n\n * Proven ability to deliver multiple high-value mechanical projects (£5M–£10M)\n\n * Strong technical knowledge across mechanical building services (HVAC, heating, ventilation, pipework)\n\n * Excellent client-facing, commercial, and leadership skills\n\n * Health & Safety knowledge and ability to manage subcontractors and labour resources
