Mechanical Contracts Manager - Building Services Location: Manchester Salary: £65,000 package

Are you an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager looking for your next opportunity? We're working with a well-established building services contractor that delivers mechanical projects across the retail and commercial sectors - from small maintenance works to major mechanical packages valued up to £1M. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to bring an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager into their team.

The Role Managing HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical plant installations Overseeing projects valued up £1m mechanical packages Leading new build developments, refurbishments, and planned/reactive works Preparing programmes, RAMS, method statements, and other project documentation Working collaboratively with electrical teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders Monitoring project progress and implementing corrective actions where required

Key Responsibilities Full cradle-to-completion management of mechanical packages Coordination across multi-discipline project teams Attendance at site progress meetings Managing budgets, costs, variations, and commercial reporting Reviewing subcontractor quotations and appointing specialist partners Acting as the main point of contact for key retail clients Reviewing RAMS and permits to work What We're Looking For HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Proven experience managing mechanical projects Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems Strong commercial awareness Ability to manage multiple projects Full UK Driving Licence SMSTS / Manager-level CSCS - Desirable Benefits Up to £65,000 package 25 days annual leave 5% pension Flexible and hybrid working Opportunities to work on varied and high-profile projects Ongoing training and professional development What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
