ROLE- Mechanical Design Engineer\n\n TERM- Permanent\n\n LOCATION - Coventry\n\n SALARY- £35,000 - £50,000 (Dependant on experience)\n\n My client designs and manufactures a variety of products for the HVAC sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Lead to join their team near Coventry on a permanent basis.\n\n The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\n\nHNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar\nAt least 3 years’ experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position\nPrevious experience in a similar role in an HVAC environment is beneficial\nBe proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc.\nLeadership qualities, being able to work well and motivate others within the Design Team\nGood theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written\nProficient using MS Office\nExcellent organisational skills and time management skills\nHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary teamThe Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:\n\nUsing CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings\nWorking with the Design Manager in translating conceptual designs into working designs within budget parameters\nManaging allocated Mechanical Design Engineers\nOverseeing projects to ensure milestones are being hit accordingly\nBeing involved in final assembly of products\nCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans\nIdentifying high risk technical elements of projects and ensuring suitable mitigations are in place to achieve costs and milestones\nProviding leadership and motivation for the design team\nWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projectsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.\n\n For more information about this role please apply, or email Tom O'Reilly on (url removed) who will be able to provide more details on the opportunity.\n\nMany thanks, Premier Group
