Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks)

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience

The Role

Were seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks skills to produce high-quality drawings and CAD models for our range of Special Purpose Equipment. This is a fast-paced role with varied customer requirements, alongside opportunities to contribute to process improvements and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Produce SolidWorks models, GA drawings, and maintain the standard parts library.

Create customer approval, production, and as-built drawings, including GA and P&ID schematics.

Review drawings and calculations.

Manage engineering change requests.

Liaise with suppliers and internal teams.

Run small engineering projects from start to finish.

Prepare technical documents such as datasheets and O&M content.

Skills & Experience

Experience designing mechanical/electrical equipment

Strong SolidWorks skills essential.

Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, and steelwork beneficial.

Electrical knowledge, AutoCAD 2D, and Revit experience advantageous.
