Were excited to be recruiting a skilled Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance Engineer (MIG or TIG Welding) to join a well-established manufacturing business in Leeds!This is a predominantly mechanical role with welding at its core, supported by basic electrical fault-finding and maintenance.As part of the engineering team, youll play a key role in maintaining plant performance and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of a busy production facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your focus will be on delivering effective planned preventative maintenance and providing swift responses to breakdowns.This is a Full-Time, Permanent role with long-term security, ongoing training, and genuine progression opportunities.What youll be doingCarry out routine maintenance on various machinery and plant equipment including mixers, conveyors, casting machines, saws, motors, bearings and other production machineryDiagnose and repair mechanical faults across various systemsSupport site improvements and maximise operational reliabilityWork on hydraulic, pneumatic, and heavy industrial systemsCarry out basic electrical fault finding and repairs (motors, sensors, wiring, etc.)Maintain high standards of health & safety in all tasksAssist with machinery installations and ongoing projectsPerform planned and reactive maintenanceCarry out MIG/TIG welding and basic fabrication workHoursMonday to Thursday: 7am 4pm Friday: 6:30am - 3pmPay£40,000 per annumOvertime available & paid at enhanced ratesAttendance bonuses (up to £1000)Skills/Experience Required EssentialMIG or TIG welding experienceMinimum 12 months mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environmentBasic electrical fault-finding ability (motors, sensors, or control systems)Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsDesirableMechanical engineering qualificationsElectrical qualifications or time-served experienceBenefits £40,000 salaryOvertime paid at time and a quarterAttendance bonus up to £1,000Company pension scheme28 days holiday (including bank holidays)Free on-site parkingOngoing training and developmentStable, long-term engineering role within a growing companyDay shifts with an early Friday finish EssentialAll applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship not provided).Must be commutable to Leeds.
