Our client is a leading multinational electrical, mechanical, and fire protection contractor with a strong presence across Europe and North America. With a focus on delivering innovative and sustainable solutions, they specialize in sectors such as Data Centres, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, and Industrial projects. They are currently looking for a Mechanical Estimator to join them on an Airport in London.
You Will Be Responsible For: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, pipework, and associated plant, based on tender documents and project requirements. Analyse drawings, specifications, and scope documents to identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and assess their suitability for inclusion in bids. Collaborate with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure all mechanical elements are properly scoped and costed. Prepare and present detailed breakdowns of estimates for internal reviews and client submissions. Maintain and update a cost database and library of rates, ensuring estimates reflect current market conditions. Participate in tender handovers and provide commercial and technical support during the pre-construction phase.
