As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for producing and assembling company products in line with technical drawings and written specifications. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, technical understanding, and a strong commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities
Carrying out sub-assembly production fitting and final assembly operations
Assembling mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic components
Producing and building fabricated assemblies of varying size and complexity, including: Marking out and cutting materials
Folding and pipe bending
Weld joint preparation
Hydraulic and pneumatic system installation
General production build assemblies
Inspecting completed assemblies to ensure alignment, dimensions, and quality standards are met
Adhering to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
Maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am
4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am
2:00pm (Early Finish)
40 hours per week
Overtime available
What Were Looking For
Essential: Strong engineering background with relevant industry experience
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing, GA, and sub-assembly drawings
Confident using hand and power tools
Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Desirable: Experience in vehicle fabrication/fitting
Background in aviation, military, marine or similar industries
Basic electrical assembly experience and ability to read circuit drawings
