Mechanical Inspector - Working within a modern, fast growing precision engineering company,this opportunity for a hands on quality inspector could suit a junior inspector , maybe a machinist looking to move into quality inspection or a more experienced inspector (hence salary range). As part of the quality team you will play a key role in ensuring machined components meet exacting customer standards. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced inspector or someone to train further into the role and develop their career in this expanding subsidiary of a global engineering business. (must have at least some mechanical inspection experience for the trainee role)
Key responsibilities:
Conduct detailed mechanical inspections in line with established quality standards and customer specifications. Programme and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS to deliver efficient, accurate inspection results.(specific software training can be given) Carry out general manual inspection using a range of standard measuring equipment. Identify, document and report non-conformance's, working closely with production to resolve issues. Prepare, maintain and interpret inspection reports, logs and records. Ensure all inspection and measuring equipment is correctly calibrated, maintained and used safely.Qualifications and skills:
