Mechanical Maintenance EngineerHuddersfield / Brighouse AreaSalary up to £ 43k ( Inc S/A )PERMANENT6-2 / 2 -10Our client, a large manufacturing business is looking to recruit a well versed Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team.This role will focus on:You will work as a member of the Maintenance and Facilities team, providing Maintenance support to other departments in a safe and compliant manner, ensure PPM is up to date and work orders are actioned in a safe and timely manner.Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks.Ensure PPM activities are completed on time.Reactive Maintenance tasks are actioned as quickly as possible in a safe and efficient manner.Maintain compliance and statutory inspections and support other functions with this task.Support the EHS team.Ensure the stock of spares.Breakdown Maintenance ActivitiesTo be successful in this role, you will need:Technical knowledge of equipment (pumps, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics)Experience of MIG welding is essential for this role.Experience of working with a computerised maintenance systemExperience working with machine and plant maintenance and breakdownsExperience working in a manufacturing environmentHolds a good understanding of general engineering principlesUnderstanding of H&S proceduresTeam playerPositive attitudeAbility to work under pressureThis is a permanent position where you will be expected to work a rotating early and late shift pattern.Week 1 - 6am - 2pm Monday to Thursday & 6am - 11:30am FridayWeek 2 - 2pm - 10pm Monday to Thursday & 11:30am - 5pm FridayIn return you can expect a salary of up to £39k plus 20% shift allowance on late shift +overtime rates for any additional hours worked.
