16:00 to 04:00 We are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a high-performing, fast-paced manufacturing and food processing site at Anwick. This is a critical weekend-based role, providing front-line mechanical engineering support to production. Youll respond quickly to breakdowns, carry out proactive maintenance, and play a key role in improving equipment reliability, availability and performance against OEE targets. Key Responsibilities Respond quickly and safely to all plant stoppages and breakdowns Maintain, adjust and repair equipment for optimum performance Carry out planned maintenance and mechanical fault-finding on machinery Work across mechanical drive systems, hydraulics and pneumatics Ensure equipment operates efficiently and meets product specifications Work with Engineering leadership and external engineers on improvements Comply fully with Health & Safety rules, including COSHH and LO/TO procedures Complete accurate documentation and PPM records within SAP Support training and assessment of staff on machine operation Contribute to energy reduction and environmental initiatives Candidate Profile Time-served
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Apprentice trained to
NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
(or UK-recognised equivalent) Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong mechanical fault-finding and decision-making capability Calm under pressure with a proactive, organised approach Good standard of written and spoken English IT literate and comfortable using CMMS / SAP systems We actively welcome applications from engineers with a
