Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in the North Manchester area, are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer on a long term contract basis, initially until the end of the year.

The work is on days working Monday to Friday, starting at 7am or 8am, and will pay £18-19/hr PAYE.

This is a long term contract/permanent role which will assist the current Senior Engineer on site. You would be working 7.5 hours per day and they are flexible on start time from 7am-8am.

The role is commutable from Bury, Oldham, Middleton, Rochdale, Bolton & Littleborough.

The company are very well established, have expanded their premises & are continually investing in new equipment.

To be considered for the role the following experience/skills is required;

* Apprentice trained or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.

* Strong manufacturing background in reactive & PPM work.

* Solid all-round electro-mechanical engineering experience having experience of working with a variety of production machinery and equipment, changing bearings, shafts, motors/drives etc.

* Some basic electrical experience would be ideal, being able to strip and test a motor for example, or carry out some basic fault finding.

* Flexible, proactive, able to manage own workloads.
