Location: Narborough Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 Shift: Monday - Friday DAYS ONLY A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a highly modern, fully automated and fast paced manufacturing facility. This Mechanical Supervisor position is based at a site that has recently benefited from significant investment, establishing it as one of the most advanced operations within its sector. The successful Mechanical Supervisor will enjoy long term stability, ongoing technical challenge and genuine opportunities for career progression. This role would suit a capable Mechanical Supervisor with strong mechanical and welding skills who is looking to lead from the front within a heavy industrial environment. The business offers clear progression routes, allowing the Mechanical Supervisor to advance into senior engineering or management positions over time. In this Mechanical Supervisor role, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical maintenance, fabrication, welding and structural repair work across a range of automated production machinery and plant equipment. The Mechanical Supervisor will lead a team of engineers, coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities, support heavy plate fabrication and structural modifications, and ensure breakdown support is delivered efficiently to maximise plant uptime while maintaining high safety and performance standards. Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Mechanical Supervisor

Strong mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial factory or heavy engineering environment

Proven experience supervising or leading maintenance teams in a fast paced industrial setting

Hands on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance

Strong welding and fabrication knowledge including heavy plate and structural work

Requirements for the Mechanical Supervisor

Proven mechanical fault finding and repair experience

Experience leading, coordinating or mentoring maintenance engineers

Ability to plan and prioritise maintenance activities to minimise downtime

Experience working within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment

Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Engineer or Supervisor in the UK

Desirable Requirements for the Mechanical Supervisor:

Apprentice trained or Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification

Experience working on automated production machinery

Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics

Previous experience managing shift handovers and maintenance KPIs
