Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Mechanical Operator to join their team on a contract basis at RAF Coningsby.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing mechanical installation and fitting tasks in accordance with engineering instructions and standards Ensuring all procedures comply with relevant safety and quality regulations Completing maintenance, repairs, and modifications on complex defence equipment Conducting regular inspections to ensure the operational readiness of equipment Recording detailed maintenance data and ensuring proper documentation Collaborating with engineering teams and other professionals within the project Adapting to shift patterns including days and nights as required Maintaining high standards of work in a fast-paced defence environment

Job Requirements:

Experience in mechanical installation and fitting within a defence or security context Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Strong understanding of safety, security, and quality compliance in the defence sector Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Flexibility to work 37 hours per week, including night shifts Security clearance and ITAR compliance are mandatory Relevant mechanical engineering or technical qualification preferred
