Job Description
The Opportunity\nHaving secured several new contracts this leading M&E Contractor is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with the strong technical skills and commercial understanding to work with their blue-chip clients in a range of sectors; predominantly MOJ, Hospitals, Educational and Commercial projects.\nKey duties\n * Negotiating and developing project contracts and agreeing these with clients\n * Organising and reviewing sub- contractors and suppliers\n * Working with detailed diagrams, plans and drawings, and completing all project paperwork\n * Managing and forecasting spend, ensuring that work is kept to budget\n * Overseeing installations, and specifying maintenance and operating procedures\n * Monitoring systems and processes in accordance with the company’s QHS&E requirements, and the requirements of ISO45001, 9001 and 14001\n * Liaising closely with external and internal project stakeholders\n * Attending and participating in project meetings\n * Ensuring that all installations are compliant with HS&E requirements and CDM2015, undertaking checks\n * Ensuring that all personnel are suitably competent and qualified to be working on projects\n * Professional written reporting and feedback to the client and the Company, in accordance with required timescales and deadlines.\nAdditional duties may include:\n * Participating in any dispute or claim situations, providing evidence and contributing information\n * Participating in training and development, and workforce consultation activities\n * Other duties as required – this role frequently demands specific duties particular to an individual project, and the Engineer/Project Manager must remain flexible and responsive.\nPerson Specification\n * Commercial experience within a Building Services background\n * Strong project management experience\n * Excellent knowledge of HS&E best practice\n * High level of competence using MS Office packages, particularly Excel, Word and Project\n * Track record delivering similar projects successfully\n * Flexible approach to work, including occasionally out-of-hours & project specific requirements\n * Willing to travel within the UK when required\n * Motivated, with reliable work history\nApex Resourcing Solutions is a recruitment agency acting on behalf of this company
