Mechanical Shift Technician Kent £53,000 A globally recognised facilities management provider is seeking a Mechanical Shift Technician to join their team at a large commercial building in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile commercial site with a structured shift pattern offering strong work-life balance. The Role Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance Fault finding and repairs on mechanical building services plant Working on HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated equipment Strong focus on plumbing systems including pipework, valves, boosters, pressurisation units, and general building plumbing Ensuring compliance and maintaining plant reliability Working in a professional, client-facing commercial environment Shift Pattern 12-hour shifts (7am7pm / 7pm7am) 4-week rolling rota: 3 on / 3 off 2 on / 2 off 3 on / 4 off 3 on / 2 off 3 on / 4 off On average, this equates to 1 weekend per month, with only two occasions per year where 2 weekends are worked in a month. Candidate Requirements NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or above in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing or Building Services Strong plumbing knowledge and practical experience essential Experience within commercial building services or FM environments Confident fault-finding ability Comfortable working days and nights on a rotating shift pattern
