Mechanical Supervisor

South West London

£50,000 - £54,000

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to join a leading UK building services provider on a high-profile, long-term contract in South West London. The client is known for delivering first-class facilities management services while offering a positive working environment, ongoing training, and genuine career progression for their engineering teams.

The site is a large, technically diverse estate, incorporating commercial areas, specialist facilities, and residential accommodation. It offers a varied workload and the opportunity to work on a wide range of plant and systems within a well-structured, well-supported contract.

The Role:

As Mechanical Supervisor, you will lead a team of 6 engineers while remaining actively involved in maintenance delivery. Responsibilities include:

Day-to-day supervision, support, and coordination of the engineering team

Carrying out and overseeing planned and reactive maintenance

Working on a broad range of mechanical plant, including:

Calorifiers

Air Handling Units (AHUs)

Fan Coil Units (FCUs)

Chillers

Compressors

Pumps and associated pipework

Acting as the main technical escalation point for mechanical issues

Ensuring all works meet statutory compliance, safety, and client standards

Supporting fault finding, breakdown response, and plant performance improvements Requirements:

Proven experience in mechanical building services maintenance

Confident working on complex plant and systems

Relevant mechanical qualifications - Minimum Level 2

Hands-on, proactive leadership style

Steam experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Package

£50,000 - £54,000 salary
