MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician to carry out routine and reactive maintenance at a busy gas storage facility based in Alton, Hampshire.
As an Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:
Carry out planned and corrective mechanical maintenance on oil and gas production facilities
Service and maintain pumps, valves, motors, air compressors, gas compressors and gas turbines
Perform vendor-specified maintenance to minimise plant downtime
Support pipeline corrosion monitoring and associated systems
Carry out equipment isolations and ensure safe systems of work
Assist with installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment
Work alongside specialist vendors and supervise contractors on site
Maintain accurate maintenance records and high standards of housekeeping
Participate in call-out support for plant breakdowns when required
Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
Time-served Mechanical Technician (Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 minimum)
4–5 years' mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment
Experience in oil & gas or similar safety-critical industry preferred
Knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines and rotating equipment
ATEX and PUWER experience desirable
