We're looking for several Mechanical Fitters to join the team that is at the forefront of supporting the production of the Type 31 Frigate / Inspiration class of warships. Type 31 will be at the heart of the Royal Navy s surface fleet, deterring aggression and maintaining the security of the UK s interests. They will work alongside the UK s Allies to deliver a warship presence across the globe and enable a forward naval presence. The role As a Mehanical Fitter, you ll have a role that s out of the ordinary. If you can bring technical skills and a safe working attitude, then we can provide you with one of the most exciting engineering projects this country has to offer. Carrying-out planned installations, maintenance and removals of temporary and fixed mechanical systems and equipment to support the build, assembly and outfitting of Naval Platforms. Day-to-day, you ll help with the general Equipment Installation, Basic Milling and Drilling Operations, Equipment and System Testing, Hydraulic/Pneumatic System experience. You will also help with the Interpretation/Transfer of Info from Mechanical Drawings and Specs, Pipework System Install, Dismantle and Reassembly, Mobile Plant Maintenance and Hydraulic Systems Maintenance: Installation of mechanical systems & equipment including shock and non-shoc...
