J\n\nJob Title: MEP Engineering Lead\n Location: Portsmouth Region\n Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (38 hours per week)\n\nCompany Overview\n I am seeking a MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Process) Engineering Lead to support the Engineering Manager in delivering a major new build reservoir project, the first in the South West in over 40 years. This is a rare opportunity to move beyond the typical water AMP cycle and be part of a landmark infrastructure programme that will have a lasting impact on the local area. The project is technically challenging, high-profile, and runs through to 2033, offering long-term stability, professional growth, and the chance to work on something truly different.\n\nIn this role, you will manage design reviews, resolve technical queries, and ensure compliance with safety standards and contractual timelines.
You will lead specific MEP engineering work packages, act as the technical lead on smaller project components, and ensure accurate data is provided for contractors. Collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders will be central to ensuring alignment and maintaining engineering assurance across the programme.\n\nThe Role\n As MEP Engineering Lead, you will coordinate and oversee mechanical, electrical, and process engineering activities across the project. You’ll chair technical meetings and workshops, manage the resolution of design queries, and ensure compliance with standards and the Health & Safety Management Plan.
This is an opportunity to be at the heart of a technically complex and high-profile infrastructure project, where your expertise will directly contribute to a landmark programme that is shaping the region’s future.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nChair meetings with Design Guardians to track progress and resolve issues.\n\nManage responses to technical queries and design submissions from contractors.\n\nMonitor and review Design Guardian performance against KPIs.\n\nLead collaborative planning with contractors and technical workshops with operations teams.\n\nProvide MEP engineering representation at Early Warning meetings.\n\nDeliver reports and updates to the Engineering Manager on progress, risks, and forecasts.\n\nReview contractor programmes monthly to inform resource planning.\n\nProduce engineering-led papers to support governance and stakeholder engagement.\n\nKey Requirements\n\nDegree in an Engineering-related discipline.\n\nSignificant experience in design management within major infrastructure projects.\n\nStrong understanding of the design process and commercial implications.\n\nExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.\n\nAbility to coordinate inputs from multiple parties and deliver to deadlines.\n\nHow to Apply\n If you are ready to take on an exciting challenge as a MEP Engineering Lead and be part of a transformative infrastructure project, please send your CV to (url removed) or contact Jordan Lee at (phone number removed) for further details.\n\nGanymede Solutions is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
