Job Description

Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas\nHours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)\nContract Type: Permanent\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Mobile Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical maintenance services across multiple government office sites in Birmingham and surrounding areas. This role offers stability, work-life balance, and the opportunity to upskill into an LVAP position.\n\nJob Description\n\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for electrical PPM, reactive and proactive works, as well as general building services maintenance tasks.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrician who enjoys variety and autonomy, with the added benefit of a company van and potential for personal use.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Carry out electrical PPM, reactive and proactive maintenance tasks within agreed timeframes to exceed customer expectations.\n\n * Undertake other building services maintenance tasks, including basic fabric-related works.\n\n * Respond to callouts as per client requirements.\n\n * Perform contractor control duties, including monitoring standards and issuing Permits to Work.\n\n * Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.\n\n * Complete accurate records and job closures using PDA systems.\n\nProfessional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications\n\n * Significant experience in electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, installation, and inspection/testing.\n\n * Proven background in reactive and planned maintenance within FM or commercial property environments.\n\n * Strong understanding of Health & Safety compliance.\n\n * Electrical qualifications required:\n\n * City & Guilds 2365, 2357 Level 3 and NVQ 2356 AM2\n\n * City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation and NVQ 2356 and AM2\n\n * City & Guilds 236/2360 in Electrical Installations Part 1 & 2\n\n * City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS:7671:2018), preferably with A2 Amendment\n\n * Driving licence required
