Role: Mobile Forklift Engineer Location: Ipswich,Suffolk Employer: Forklift Hire Salary + Benefits: £35,000 - £40,000 + Van + Fuel card + Door to Door + Bonus + OT = 1.5

Key Responsibilities

In this Mobile Forklift Engineer position, you will:

Carry out on-site diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on Forklift and material-handling equipment

Perform routine maintenance, safety checks, and inspections

Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults

Replace or repair faulty parts and components

Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation

Provide technical guidance to customers on equipment use

Ensure work meets safety standards and manufacturer requirements

Manage van stock, tools, and equipment

Respond to breakdown callouts and prioritise workloads

Maintain a professional, customer-first approach during visits

What we're looking for

To succeed as a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you'll have:

Confidence working on diesel, gas, and electric equipment

A solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and engines

An NVQ/City & Guilds in engineering (preferred but not essential)
