Position
To support a period of expansion and new project wins, our FM division are looking to appoint an experienced and professional Mobile Maintenance Engineer to work as part of the Southwest Projects and Small Works team, responding to reactive calls, carrying out first fix where possible and scoping quotes for repair where first fix is not possible to ensure minimum downtime across a range of properties and systems within MOD camps across Hampshire.
Reporting directly into Project Management , our engineering team carry out all planned building and fabrication maintenance tasks as per program, keeping accurate auditable records of works planned and completed whilst maintaining a proactive approach to health, safety and wellbeing in the work environment, taking necessary steps to ensure that risks are mitigated.
Primary responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Carry out all building/fabrication tasks as defined by the project scope of works
Ensuring the site is kept in good decorative order internally and externally, inline with given specification
Establishing strong working relationships to ensure timely completion of projects
Working closely with a team and the client to deliver to the highest and timely standards
The ability to scope and price works, along with identifying the correct material requirements

This is a mobile role with the requirement to travel to various locations in the South of England when required to achieve the necessary project delivery as per business requirements - each project will typically last 2-5 days at a particular site and you will commute to the same site until the project is fully delivered, so you will not be expected to be mobile across multiple sites in one day etc...
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate a mix of the following:
MEWP and PASMA qualified (preferable)
City & Guilds or other accredited qualification in a relevant field
Competent to assess repairs required with ability to complete works with minimal guidance
Experience of basic building maintenance and repairs; including painting & decorating, tiling, plastering, carpentry, brickwork and floor laying
Basic plumbing knowledge (clearing blocked drainage, compression fittings etc...)
Experience of timber & UPVC door and window installation/repairs
Valid CSCS card
