Heavy Plant Fitter (Mobile)

£18 – £20 per hour (40-hour week) + Door-to-Door Pay + Overtime at 1.5x Neos Engineering are partnered with a well-established, globally recognised heavy plant organisation with operations spanning worldwide. With a strong reputation for quality, reliability and long-term client partnerships, they are looking to strengthen their mobile heavy plant engineering team across the Glasgow region. The Role

This is a fully mobile Heavy Plant Fitter position covering Glasgow and surrounding areas. You will travel directly from home to customer sites in a fully equipped company van, carrying out diagnostics, servicing and repairs on a wide range of heavy plant machinery. You will be paid door to door, meaning your day starts when you leave home and finishes when you return. Overtime is paid at 1.5x after 40 hours, with consistent availability offering strong earning potential on top of your base salary. Key responsibilities include:

Attending site breakdowns on heavy plant machinery

Carrying out effective mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis

Servicing, inspections and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

Repairing excavators, dumpers, loading shovels, telehandlers and other plant equipment

Completing engine, hydraulic, transmission and electrical repairs

Ensuring machinery is returned to site operating safely and efficiently

Completing accurate service reports and job documentation

Providing professional and high-level customer service on-site

The Candidate

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Heavy Plant Fitter who can work independently while representing a global brand to a high standard. You will: Have strong experience working on heavy plant equipment

Be confident fault finding across mechanical and hydraulic systems

Have good electrical diagnostic skills (advantageous)

Be self-motivated and organised in a mobile role

Hold a full UK driving licence

Be safety-focused and customer-oriented

Be comfortable covering Glasgow and surrounding areas
