As part of an ambitious growth phase, we’re seeking a Modelling Engineer to join our client as they develop cutting-edge systems for the next generation of aerospace technology.

You will take the lead in developing advanced Matlab / Simulink/ Simscape models to assess dynamic response across real-time performance, efficiency, thermal behaviour and control systems.

You’ll design and deliver detailed Simscape electrical models to analyse electrical transients, ripple effects, power quality and fault conditions. These models will play a key role in ensuring the high-voltage electrical system meets stringent safety and performance standards.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience modelling electric propulsion systems in the aerospace or automotive industry.
• Expert knowledge of Matlab / Simulink and Simscape toolsets.
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce comprehensive model validation and test case reports.
• Excellent communication skills – able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, partners and regulatory bodies.
• Understanding of powertrain inverter and electric motor operation and control strategies.
• Hands-on experience with HIL systems or test rigs for verifying control hardware and software.
• Knowledge of thermal management systems, including heat transfer and cooling system design principles.
