MOT Tester / Light Vehicle Technician

Nottingham £18.85 per hour PAYE / £24.54 per hour Umbrella Full Time Contract: Ongoing Inside IR35

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester / Light Vehicle Technician to join Our Public Sector Clients team.

This is a hands-on workshop role supporting the maintenance and compliance of a varied fleet of vehicles. You will be responsible for carrying out MOT testing alongside servicing, diagnostics, and repair work to ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and meet all DVSA standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations (Class 4, 5 & 7 desirable)

* Diagnose faults and complete mechanical repairs

* Service and maintain a range of light vehicles

* Ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards

* Complete all job records accurately

Requirements

* IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds equivalent)

* Valid UK Driving Licence

* Strong experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

Desirable

* Current MOT Tester licence (Class 4, 5 & 7)

* Experience working on fleet vehicles or within a public sector environment
