MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician

*Uckfield Garage *is a family-run business. We are seeking a qualified and experienced *MOT Tester/Service Technician* to join our team. We are seeking a full-time employee, but would also consider part-time candidates.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections to the highest standards, ensuring vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and fully compliant with DVSA regulations.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Conduct Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards * Perform vehicle safety checks and inspections with attention to detail * Accurately complete MOT documentation and log results in the DVSA system * Service and repair a wide range of vehicle*s*, ensuring all work meets safety and manufacturer standards. * Diagnosed mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to identify issues efficiently. * Document work performed and diagnostic findings using tablet-based systems for accurate service records and customer transparency. * Identify faults and advise on necessary repairs * Work collaboratively with our service team to ensure a smooth workflow

*Requirements:*

* Current and valid MOT Tester licence (DVSA approved) * City & Guilds or other adequate qualifications (Level 3) * Full UK driving licence * Strong understanding of MOT testing standards and procedures * High level of attention to detail and commitment to safety * Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
