Job Description

White Label is representing a well-established manufacturing business in East Yorkshire that is looking to appoint a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site engineering team.\n\nThis is a hands-on role supporting a busy production environment with a strong focus on woodworking-based machinery. You’ll be working alongside supporting around 60 machines with both mechanical and electrical elements.\n\nThe role is roughly 50% reactive breakdown support and 50% planned preventative maintenance and is solely day shifts.\n\nMy client is offering a salary of £38,000 or above plus day shifts, overtime, pension, on-site parking, death in service and fixed holidays.\n\nResponsibilities of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer\n\n * Carry out morning checks and planned preventative maintenance\n\n * Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults across site machinery\n\n * Respond quickly to breakdowns, prioritising effectively to minimise downtime\n\n * Maintain and repair woodworking machinery including CNC machines and edge-banders\n\n * Work on pneumatic and hydraulic systems in a live manufacturing environment\n\n * Order parts and liaise with suppliers\n\n * Communicate clearly with operatives, supervisors, and senior management\n\n * Provide progress updates and maintain accurate records\n\n * Support general site maintenance including basic plumbing, joinery and building repairs\n\nRequirements of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer\n\n * Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a maintenance engineering role\n\n * Strong mechanical maintenance ability with basic electrical fault finding\n\n * Experience working on CNC machinery and production equipment \n\n * Good Health & Safety awareness\n\n * Computer literate\n\n * HNC/HND desirable, but practical experience \n\nThis vacancy is being managed by Paul Smith.
