We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi Skilled Maintenance Operative to join our maintenance team. This role involves performing a wide range of technical tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. Shift: Monday to Friday: 5.30 am -2.25 am Pay: Hourly Rate £21.95 Shift Allowance £2.44 Skills & Experience Completed a time-served engineering apprenticeship (desirable) Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance (essential) Strong analytical mindset with effective problem-solving abilities (essential) Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance systems (essential) Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings (essential) High attention to detail, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (essential) Calm, resilient, and effective under pressure (essential) Experience maintaining robotic systems (essential) Working knowledge of PLC systems (desirable) Confident using IT systems and maintenance software (essential) Professional Attributes Meticulous, proactive, and self-motivated Able to work independently and take initiative Strong communicator with a collaborative approach Service-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset Analytical thinker with strong diagnostic capability Eager to learn and develop professionally Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Technical English knowledge is an advantage Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of maintenance techniques within area of expertise Awareness of hygiene, safety, and environmental standards Additional certifications (e.g. forklift licence) may be required depending on role Key Responsibilities Ensure operational readiness and reliability of all equipment Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance in line with schedules and procedures Maintain equipment to maximise production uptime and efficiency Accurately log maintenance activities and update system records Identify and recommend improvements to enhance: Safety Quality, Equipment performance, Cost efficiency Ensure clear and effective shift handovers (written and digital) Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment Oversee site facilities, including compressors, boilers, chillers, fire systems, lighting, and general infrastructure Additional Involvement Support installation, commissioning, and acceptance of new equipment Participate in equipment upgrades, process improvements, and site changes Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and operational guideline Applicants via CV only Benefits: Canteen Company events Employee discount On-site parking Licence/Certification: Forklift Licence (required)
