This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys a mix of workshop and field-based work, with regular UK travel.The RoleYou will be responsible for the commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and repair of specialist machinery, both on-site in Sheffield and at customer locations across the UK. This is a varied role with a slight mechanical bias, offering plenty of autonomy and technical challenge.Key responsibilities include:Installation, commissioning, and servicing of machinery in both workshop and field environmentsAttending customer sites nationwide for maintenance, repairs, and breakdown supportCompleting digital work orders and reports via tabletFault finding and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systemsSupporting continuous improvement with proactive ideas and solutionsMaintaining stock levels of spare parts within service vehiclesAssisting with equipment demonstrations and exhibitions when requiredSupporting and mentoring junior engineers and traineesAbout YouProven experience as a Maintenance Engineer (multi-skilled)Strong mechanical skills with basic electrical competenceExperience working on similar machinery or automated equipment (training provided)Understanding of PLCs / HMIs (Siemens, Unitronics or similar advantageous)Comfortable working at customer sites with strong communication skillsHighly organised with good problem-solving abilityIT literate (experience with maintenance systems or ERP software beneficial)Full UK driving licence essentialDesirable:FLT licenceWelding experience (MMA/Stick)Experience with networking or PLC programmingWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary with overtime opportunitiesCompany pension schemePrivate medical insuranceLife insuranceCycle to work schemeFree on-site parkingAdditional InformationRole involves regular travel across the UKOccasional overnight stays may be requiredPhysically active role requiring good fitness and dexterityIf you are a motivated engineer looking for a varied role with excellent development opportunities, this could be the perfect next step in your career.JBRP1_UKTJ
