Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance EngineerLocation: KentSalary: £49,000Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days)Hours: 06:00 18:00The RoleWe are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in delivering effective maintenance support across your shift, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime.The role involves both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown support across electrical and mechanical systems, contributing directly to site performance and operational KPIs.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned and reactive maintenance across site equipmentRespond to electrical and mechanical breakdownsEnsure full compliance with health & safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and permit systemsSupport a strong safety culture and promote best practices across siteDiagnose faults and implement effective repairs using sound engineering principlesCarry out root cause analysis to drive continuous improvementMaintain accurate maintenance recordsWork closely with production teams to reduce downtime and improve efficiencyKey AccountabilitiesPromote a safe working environment with zero lost-time incidentsComplete all scheduled maintenance tasksEnsure timely response to breakdownsEscalate major issues impacting productionSkills & ExperienceEssential:Recognised electrical apprenticeship with strong mechanical skillsMinimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong fault-finding and problem-solving abilityGood IT skills (Excel, Word)Strong communication skills and proactive attitudeSelf-motivated with a focus on continuous improvementDesirable:HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical EngineeringExperience with PLCs and machine control systemsKnowledge of weighing and filling equipmentHACCP knowledge or trainingFMCG or food manufacturing experienceExperience working in high-care environmentsIf this role is of interest to you, or youre considering a new opportunity, please get in touch with Chatan at JBRP1_UKTJ
