A well‑established manufacturing business operating advanced packaging and processing machinery is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering department. The company continues to expand and invest in modern automation, requiring engineers with strong technical capability, particularly across electrical systems and PLC‑controlled equipment.
Role Overview
The Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of production machinery. The position has a strong electrical bias, and the ideal candidate will be confident working with PLC systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. The engineer will support both reactive and preventative maintenance activities while contributing to ongoing reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and supporting equipment. Respond promptly to mechanical and electrical breakdowns to support operational continuity. Fault‑find and interrogate PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, similar). Diagnose and repair faults on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
