Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Double Days | £35,000 - £42,000

We are working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support a busy, high-volume injection moulding operation.

This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer with strong fault-finding ability and proven experience maintaining injection moulding machinery within a fast-paced production environment.


The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of injection moulding machines and associated ancillary equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and production efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on injection moulding machines

  • Diagnose and fault-find electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults

  • Support machine changeovers, tool changes and continuous improvement activity

  • Maintain ancillary equipment including robots, dryers, conveyors and chillers

  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime

  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety procedures

  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately


The Ideal Candidate

  • Apprentice-trained or time-served Maintenance Engineer

  • Proven experience working on injection moulding machines

  • Multi-skilled background (electrical and mechanical)

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment

  • Proactive, flexible and a strong team player
