National Account Manager

New Yesterday

Job Description

Are you a driven and commercially minded National Account Manager looking to take the next step in your career?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative FMCG business that partners with some of the biggest retailers in the UK and beyond.

Our company works across a diverse portfolio of product categories — from health and beauty to household, snacking, and reusable goods — delivering high-quality, own-label products that drive category growth and customer loyalty. We're passionate about creativity, collaboration, and excellence, and we're looking for someone who shares that same energy and ambition.

The Role

We're looking for a dynamic National Account Manager to develop and grow key retail accounts, while identifying new business opportunities to expand our impressive client portfolio. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners to deliver category-leading results and ensure our customers' strategies are brought to life.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing and growing existing retail accounts while developing new business opportunities.
  • Creating and executing customer-specific sales strategies and account plans.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment with customer objectives.
  • Monitoring performance against KPIs and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Leading and coordinating project milestones, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Driving innovation, profitability, and long-term partnerships.

About You

You're an experienced National Account Manager within the FMCG sector (ideally within food), with a proven ability to maintain and grow strong customer relationships. You combine strong commercial acumen with the confidence to lead, influence, and deliver results.

Essential experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience managing national accounts, ideally with major UK grocery retailers.
  • Strong understanding of FMCG, retail, or food manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record in private label or own-brand product development.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary with annual reviews.
  • 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after 3 years, and 30 after 5).
  • Hybrid and flexible working options.
  • Annual bonus scheme based on company performance.
  • Excellent benefits package including medical cash plan, wellbeing support, and option to buy additional holiday.
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, and sick pay.
  • Company pension contribution.
  • Regular social events and team activities.
  • Free parking and a relaxed, friendly working culture.

This is your chance to join a forward-thinking business that values innovation, collaboration, and personal growth. If you're ready to make an impact in a company that's shaping the future of FMCG, we'd love to hear from you.
