Sales Manager - Packaging Machinery
UK Wide | Field Based | Extensive Travel Required

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Company Car / Car Allowance

We are recruiting for an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager or Sales Engineer to join a well-established and innovative packaging solutions provider, recognised for delivering high-quality vertical packaging systems into the food and produce sectors.

This is a high-impact, autonomous role focused on driving UK market share, developing OEM partnerships, and expanding product penetration within an already strong customer base.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of the UK territory, leading business development initiatives and building long-term strategic relationships across the produce and food packing industry. The position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping sales strategy and contributing to the continued growth of a respected and technically advanced organisation.

The business is known for its expertise in vertical form-fill-seal packaging technology, providing efficient, reliable, and high-performance machinery tailored to high-volume food production environments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute structured sales strategies across the UK market
Drive new business acquisition within the produce and food packing sector
Identify and secure new OEM partnerships
Introduce new products and solutions into existing accounts
Build and maintain long-term customer relationships at multiple levels
Conduct market and competitor analysis to support commercial positioning
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
Contribute to wider business planning and growth strategy
Operate in line with company KPIs and profitability targets

About You

Minimum 5 years experience in technical sales within packaging machinery/food packing market.
Proven track record of winning new business and exceeding sales targets
Strong consultative, solution-led sales approach
Technically competent, with the ability to communicate complex solutions clearly
Commercially astute with a structured and proactive mindset
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a field-based role
Willingness to travel extensively across the UK, with occasional international travel
