Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging activities that support children's developmental needs in line with early childhood education standards
• Supervising children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being
• Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
• Organising daily routines, including mealtimes, playtimes, and rest periods
• Monitoring and recording children's progress and behaviour, providing feedback to parents and senior staff
• Assisting with the organisation of nursery resources and maintaining a clean, safe environment
• Supporting new staff members through mentoring and leadership roles when required
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
• Driving responsibilities may include transporting children safely to outings or activities as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
• Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Ability to organise activities that promote learning through play
• Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent are desirable
• Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive approach to childcare responsibilities
