Tripod are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapaist to work in Ceredigion.

Paying up to £40 an hour

Working Hours - Full time preferred but would consider part time and condensed hours

Adult / Paediatric roles:

Essential clinical skills and experience:

• Complex case management with long term and chronic conditions.
• Manual handling assessment and provision of associated plans.
• Postural assessment and provision of specialist seating and wheel chair prescription
• Comprehensive knowledge and skill relating to complex manual handling equipment and disability aids.
• Environmental adaptations. Ability to identify eligible need. Proven record of assessment, recommendation and planning urgent minor and complex major adaptations (stair lifts, fixed hoist systems, shower / bathing facilities etc)
• Supervision and support of junior OTs and OTAs

Time expectations:

These roles will require travel within Ceredigion, across the whole county, carrying out assessments in people’s homes. Use of a car is essential.

There is potential for dedicated work from home days (hybrid working) to be agreed to complete non face to face tasks – subject to service needs and manager agreement.

Any changes to agreed working pattern should be agreed in advance to ensure service maintain statutory provision.

Other essential requirements: IT competent. Prioritisation of own case load. To work within established management structure. The service works on a through age model. We have roles available for both adult and paediatric community work. Presenting a unique opportunity to gain further specialist experience across both areas.
