Delivery Lead Role – Engineering South East / Midlands:
Salary up to £60,000
Are you an experienced delivery or operations leader who thrives in fast-paced, field-based environments and prefers to be close to activity rather than behind a desk? An established organisation within the Transportation sector is looking to appoint a senior delivery leader to support day-to-day service performance across a mobile workforce. This role plays a key part in supporting delivery performance across the business. You will take responsibility for the planning, coordination, and deployment of multi-disciplinary, field-based teams delivering work across multiple live workstreams. The role requires a visible, people-focused leadership style, with regular site engagement and close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
Leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary, field-based teams.
Workforce planning, scheduling, and deployment across multiple activities
Monitoring delivery performance, KPIs, and reporting accuracy.
Managing data and performance tracking using spreadsheet-based systems
Driving accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
Operating within structured delivery environments with strong governance requirements This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to someone who leads through influence, presence, and communication. This opportunity will appeal to an individual who wants genuine ownership of a delivery function. You will be trusted to shape how the function operates day-to-day, improve performance through people, and make a tangible impact on service delivery and team engagement. Backgrounds from manufacturing, utilities, engineering services, or similar field service operations will align well with this role.
