Job Description
Operations Manager – Tech & Digital Product (Remote – UK)
Location: 100% Remote (occasional travel to London 2-4 times a year)
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 DOE
We’re looking for a Senior Operations Manager to lead operations across development and product teams in a growing digital software business.
This is not a project management or admin role, this is about ownership, operational discipline, and predictable execution. You will establish and run the company’s core operational structures so that priorities are clear, decisions are tracked, and projects are delivered on time.
By owning the operational system, you free the CEO and CTO to focus on strategy, growth, and technical leadership, while ensuring development and product teams work efficiently and cohesively.
This role exists because the business is scaling, not because anything is broken. You’ll step into a position where your influence can directly shape how technical teams operate.
What You’ll Be Doing
Line manage the Head of Delivery and Product Owners, setting clear expectations around ownership, accountability, and performance
Run the company’s regular operational cycles, including weekly team check-ins, monthly progress reviews, and quarterly planning sessions
Ensure meetings are structured, outcome-focused, and followed by clear actions with owners and deadlines
Drive accountability across teams: follow-through, escalation, and delivery discipline
Maintain visibility of company-wide deliverables, surfacing risks, blockers, or stalled work early
Enforce consistent, high-quality use of ClickUp (or similar tools) across Product and Delivery
Partner with the CTO to ensure engineering workflows align with Product and Delivery priorities
Provide concise, actionable operational reporting to the CEO and CTO
Identify and resolve inefficiencies, blockers, and unstructured workflows
Support onboarding, internal initiatives, and cross-team coordination
You design and run the operational system — others execute within it.
About You
You thrive on clarity, structure, and accountability. You enjoy turning ambiguity into predictable outcomes, especially across technical teams.
You’ll succeed if you:
Enjoy creating clear ownership and ensuring follow-through across teams
Can bring order and consistency to complex, fast-moving environments
Know when to step in, delegate, or escalate
Communicate clearly and confidently at senior levels
We’re looking for:
5+ years’ experience in operations, delivery, or leadership across tech, SaaS, or digital teams
Strong line management experience, including senior staff
Proven ability to establish operational discipline and predictable execution
Familiarity with ClickUp, Jira, or similar work management tools
Fluent written and spoken English
What’s On Offer
£65,000 – £75,000 salary (DOE) + discretionary bonus
Fully remote working within the UK with flexible hours
Enhanced annual leave entitlement
Health and dental cover
A senior leadership role with real authority and impact
The chance to shape how development and product teams operate at scale
