Based near Colchester, you will be joining a large manufacturing business with multiple manufacturing sites across Europe and the US specialising in the manufacture of alternative synthetic paper and film products.
Due to a gap in the team, the business is now seeking an experienced Manufacturing & Engineering Operations manager to join their senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Plan, lead and manage day-day manufacturing operations, meeting production, quality, engineering & safety targets.
Collaborate with multiple areas of the business, including quality, supply chain, HSE and more to roadmap improvement plans aligned to business objectives.
Create and monitor key performance indicators - working on continuous improvement methods.
Manage and mentor manufacturing, engineering and supporting technical staff
Work with finance teams to develop and manage department budgets working towards capital expenditure plans.
Drive a continuous mindset culture throughout the business

Skills & Experience required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or similar industry
Multiple years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering management and operations role(s)
Proven experience leading a production or engineering team with multiple direct reports
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage tasks and duties effectively.
Lean Six Sigma certification would be highly desirable.
