What does the role involve?
The Operations Team Leader will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team, overseeing day-to-day business-as-usual (BAU) operations, and ensuring the effective delivery of team objectives. The role will also involve aspects of project management, with a strong focus on driving change, implementing improvement initiatives, and supporting continuous development across the function.
Some Of Your Key Duties Will Include
- Leadership of the Utilisation team, achieving contractual SLAs, providing clear focus to deliver an efficient & effective mobility experience for British Gas engineers, Managers & the British Gas fleet team using the latest systems
- Management of British Gas' replacement programme, ensuring older vans are replaced in line with their end of contract dates, including a robust administration process to allow vehicles to be terminated off the system promptly once arrived at auction.
- Delivering the new Build delivery programme in the most cost-efficient manner, through cross-departmental working with the Contract Support Manager & Data, Reporting & Insight Team Leader
- Oversee the build programme, ensuring vehicles are commissioned and delivered in line with the build plan and that suppliers are paid on time

- Excellent customer service skills and ability to liaise with the customer
- Confident dealing with stakeholders at all levels
- Comfortable multi-tasking and juggling priorities
- Fleet experience is of course advantageous!
