Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Change Management Projects
- Contribute to the success of the New Product Introduction program by ensuring smooth transitions from scale-up to launch phases with relevant suppliers
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service, reduce inventory and lead times, decrease costs, improve quality, and optimize footprint/portfolio
- Coordinate daily operations and activities with suppliers
- Assess suppliers' technical capabilities to ensure they meet 3M's needs and requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering fields
- Previous experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer, or in a similar role
- Proven experience in supplier performance management within a manufacturing environment
- Strong project management background
- Excellent written and spoken English
Additional Skills / Preferences:
- Experience managing suppliers in the metal or electronics industries
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and audit procedures
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Background in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
Job specifics:
- Location: UK based, within a commutable distance to Aycliffe, Skelmersdale, or Bracknell
- Hybrid working pattern: 2-3 days remote/office
- Travel: Up to 15-20% domestic/international
