Job Description
MiX are looking to employ the services of an experienced Passive IT Infrastructure Consultant with a strong understanding of RIBA design and delivery stages. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills and extensive experience working with design peers such as M&E consultants and interior designers. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to accurately capture client requirements and reflect them within fully coordinated designs.

Backbone copper and fibre cabling requirements
Installation methodology: cable routing, cable containment, cable management / coordination with applicable co-consultants
Equipment cabinet specification
Patching frame specification
Patching frame layouts
Labelling standards
Structured cabling testing parameters and methodology
Understanding of CDM requirements
Experience in the design and construction process participating in client, architect, and contractor meetings
Inspection of work and workmanship on site
Evaluate new products and systems
Responsibilities:

Ability to Identify and report any relevant hazards or risks.
Skills:
Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organisation, task prioritisation and scheduling
Excellent communication skills
Excellent knowledge of Passive Infrastructure technology and equipment
Experienced in Microsoft Office and capable of communicating highly technical information to nontechnical individuals
Proven track record of achieving objectives on schedule and within budget
Strong Attention to detail
