is Cheltenhams first rooftop restaurant. Our ethos is to serve fresh, local produce that changes to suit the seasonal calendar. We are currently open 7 days a week, serving a mix of working breakfasts and lunches, afternoon tea, a la carte dinners and the occasional tasting menu. In addition to our restaurant, we prep bread, pastries, chocolates and proteins for our Deli,
The Nook Deli
and our online store. You must believe in working in a system, where planning and preparation from the whole team is critical to deliver a consistently high standard of eat in and take out food options. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our team as a Chef De Partie or Pastry Chef De Partie. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage a section, produce solid prep lists and be able to switch between larder, mains and pastry.
If you have a pastry focus, we expect perfect baking of scones, french style patisserie and a working knowledge of chocolates. If you have a Pastry focus, our offering to you will be improved, especially if you have any good working skills with chocolates. Along with the salary, you will receive an additional tronc payment each month. Skills Needed You will have at least 1-2 years CDP experience at a brasserie restaurant where food is made fresh. You will need to be calm under pressure You will need to be organized and pay attention to details You will have a friendly and professional manner and enjoy working as part of a team Awareness of manual handling techniques (desired but not essential) Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety (desired but not essential) Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate.
