Intellectual Property Recruiter @ G2 Legal We are seeking a mid‑level Patent Litigation Associate to join a highly regarded IP team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an attorney with experience in life sciences patent litigation who wants to work on complex, high‑profile cases and provide commercially focused advice to clients across technically challenging industries. You will apply your IP expertise to advise clients on patent disputes and related matters, supporting their strategic objectives and delivering practical, business‑focused solutions. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative, international environment, with significant exposure to partners and senior clients. The Team The Intellectual Property team is consistently ranked as a leading practice in Legal 500 and Chambers. With one of the largest IP teams in London, the team offers unparalleled capabilities in both contentious and non‑contentious matters across all IP rights, including patents, trade marks, copyright, database rights, confidential information, and data privacy. The practice advises on IP protection, enforcement, strategic management, valuation, and monetisation of IP portfolios, with a diverse client base spanning life sciences, technology, and other sectors. Key Responsibilities
Advise on patent litigation and broader IP rights, with a particular focus on life sciences disputes. Provide high‑quality litigation support and guidance directly to clients. Assist partners in developing the IP practice and achieving strategic objectives. Manage aspects of complex litigation matters, including delegation and supervision of junior associates or trainees. Support business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.
Skills and Experience Required
STEM degree with excellent academic credentials. Strong technical knowledge of IP law and patent litigation. Proven experience handling complex life sciences patent litigation at the High Court. Ideally, completion of the Oxford Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice. Ability to work effectively in teams under partner supervision while managing junior colleagues. Flexibility to support cases across a broad range of IP litigation matters and jurisdictions. Strong client focus, providing practical advice and drafting with clarity and precision. Commercial awareness and understanding of law firm operations.
