We are working with a leading international firm with a highly regarded Intellectual Property practice spanning Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The firm is recognised for being at the forefront of IP law, advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters across patents, trade marks, designs, copyright and more. Its London-based IP team is particularly well established, comprising market-leading patent litigators with deep technical expertise and a strong track record handling complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes, including work before the European Patent Office and involvement in developments surrounding the Unified Patent Court.
The firm is now seeking a Supervising Associate to join its London Patent Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with highly ranked partners on high-profile, cross-border matters, particularly within the Life Sciences sector. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge disputes and the chance to be part of a collaborative, international team with a strong focus on development and progression.
Key Responsibilities

- Managing and supporting complex, multi-jurisdictional patent litigation matters
- Assisting with and leading on proceedings before UK courts and the European Patent Office
- Advising clients on patent validity and infringement issues
- Coordinating cross-border litigation strategies and working with international counsel
- Supporting clients with interim relief applications, including injunctions
- Contributing to opposition proceedings and related matters before patent offices
- Advising on the IP aspects of corporate transactions, including investments and funding
- Playing an active role in client relationship management and business development initiatives
Requirements
- \n
- 5–9 years’ PQE with a strong focus on patent litigation
- Experience gained within a leading City or international firm
- Ideally exposure to Life Sciences matters
- Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and work within a fast-paced environment
- A proactive and collaborative approach
