Payroll Administrator

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis Central London 5 days a week on-site 1-3 months Temporary Assignment £16-18/h depending on experience
Duties include; Process monthly payrolls accurately and on time Input, update and maintain employee payroll data (new starters, leavers, changes) Validate timesheets, hours worked, overtime, and absence records Calculate statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, SHPP) Process deductions such as tax, NI, pensions, student loans and other adjustments Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies before final sign-off Generate and distribute payslips Manage queries from employees and managers, providing timely resolutions Support year-end processes, including P60s, P11Ds and payroll reporting Assist with pension submissions (e.g., AE files, pension uploads) Ensure payroll compliance with HMRC regulations and company policies Maintain confidential payroll documentation and audit trails Liaise with HR, finance and external providers where required Support payroll projects, process improvements and system updates
