Base pay range
HRLife are excited to be supporting this growing business to find a Payroll Specialist for an initial 12 month FTC. Based in Hertfordshire you will be happy to go into London as required so flexibility to travel is key - on average you will be required in one of the offices 3 days a week.
This is a great opportunity to work in a busy, demanding payroll team and would suit someone who is analytical, data driven and sees themself as a numbers person! You'll be providing an efficient, slick payroll offering to the business so great customer service skills, excellent attention to detail and an ability to calculate payments manually is essential.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Work with the wider HR Shared Services team to respond to payroll related queries and answer them in a professional, efficient manner
- Provide payroll data for various internal reports and wider teams such as recruitment/ TA
- Work closely with the Finance teams to ensure proper accounting of payroll costs and compliance with tax and social security obligations
- Manage work attendance monitoring systems (including absence, sickness, overtime, holidays etc)
- Be the expert in maintaining the Time and Attendance system as well as ensuring full maintenance of the absence monitoring and reward systems
- Calculate complex salary and pay calculations for hourly paid workers and monthly paid employees including absence and maternity calculations etc.
- Manage communications with external suppliers and 3rd parties such as local authorities, pension providers and health care insurance companies
- Contribute to internal and external audits
This is a busy role and requires someone who loves data and spreadsheets, enjoys using Excel and is a bit of a whizz with numbers and calculations!
