We’re now looking for a People & Development Executive to join our growing People & Development Team at this exciting time. Based in Chandlers Ford, you’ll play a key role in shaping the employee experience and supporting the development of our people across the firm.
As our People & Development Executive, you’ll play a hands-on role across a broad range of HR and learning activities. From supporting employee relations cases and managing key people processes, to coordinating training programmes and crafting internal communications, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day work that shapes our culture and employee experience.
We’re looking for someone who’s proactive, organised, and confident working with data, systems, and people alike—someone who’s keen to make a positive impact and help us continuously improve how we support, develop, and engage our teams.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll work closely with our HR Operations Manager and the wider P&D Team to:
- Support and manage low-level employee relations (ER) cases—note-taking, tracking and coordination.
- Provide accurate, timely HR guidance and administration to managers and employees.
- Draft and update HR policies, toolkits, and internal process documentation.
- Coordinate internal training and development programmes, including logistics and feedback.
- Support the creation of learning resources and content.
- Monitor and report on learning and development activity, CPD, mentoring, and early careers support.
- Contribute ideas to improve learning delivery, experience and engagement.
- Draft and deliver engaging internal comms, intranet posts, updates and people campaigns.
- Champion initiatives around wellbeing, recognition, diversity and inclusion, and progression.
- Use data insights to inform decision-making, identify trends, and shape strategic reporting.
- Maintain employee data and reporting systems, including our HRIS (Bob).
- Suggest improvements to people processes, employee engagement, and internal comms.
- Stay curious and up to date with HR tech, L&D practices, and communication trends.
- Help embed a test-and-learn mindset across all people initiatives.
What you'll need:
- Prior experience in a people-focused or HR role (essential).
- Familiarity with employee relations (ER) processes and HRIS systems.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Proactive approach and high attention to detail—especially when handling confidential. matters.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Why join us:
At Dutton Gregory, we’re committed, united, and progressive. We believe our people drive our success, and we’re passionate about creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
You’ll be joining a team that values innovation, creativity, and collaboration—and you’ll have real influence in shaping the way we grow and develop our people as we progress with our ambitious vision.
