What you’ll be doing…
- Partner and advise on People-related topics, provide sound advice, coaching, and training to team members at all levels.
- Act as a point of escalation on People challenges, ensuring legal compliance and policies are continually being met.
- Propose and implement solutions to blockers and challenges to assist the wider team and managers, improving team member experience and success metrics.
- Lead a small team of People Assistants at different levels.
- Ensure the delivery of frustration-free HR services across the company, focusing on and evolving the employee experience.
- Deliver training to relevant stakeholders and ensure new managers are sufficiently inducted into all People processes, policies, and practices.
- Support managers with employee relation cases including fact-finding, disciplinaries, grievances, flexible working, sickness, performance, and probation.
- Provide support related to employee wellbeing, including Occupational Health referrals, reasonable adjustments, and mental health support.
- Attend monthly regional managers meetings to upskill managers and provide relevant People updates.
- Manage issues and escalations promptly, identifying root causes and implementing solutions for immediate and future improvements.
- Produce and analyze People data (e.g., probation, leave, contracted hours) to identify trends and improve processes.
- Support change management initiatives across new openings and acquisitions.
You should have…
- Experience as a skilled HR generalist, ideally in a multi-site company.
- Demonstrable experience handling employee relations cases.
- Experience working with HRIS systems as a superuser, ideally HiBob.
- Knowledge of pre-employment compliance processes, especially for Early Years.
- Passion for or experience within the Early Years or Education sector.
- Working towards or interest in CIPD qualification.
