ThisroleisforaPestControlOfficertoworkwithinasmallteamtohelpprovideaprofessionalpestControlservicetotheResidentsofislington.
MainDutiesofthejob
Investigationandtreatmentofrodentandinsectinfestationsinpremises,includingexaminationofdrainagesystems,disinfectinganddeodorising,carryingoutsurveys,advisingcustomers,anddistributionofrelevantliterature.
ResponsibleforensuringthatpersistentinfestationsarenotifiedtothePestControlManagerandtomake,wherenecessary,recommendationsastofuture/alternativetreatments.
Assistingintheinitiation,developmentandexecutionofpestcontrolinitiatives.
Assistingwiththeupkeepofthepesticidesstoreincludingthetransferofmaterialsfrompointofdelivery,socktakingandothersimilarmatters.
Assistwithtrainingofotherstaffinpestcontrolmatters.
AssistwithpromotingnewbusinessthePestControlService.
KeyresponsibilitiesandDuties
Investigationandtreatmentofrodentandinsectinfestationsinpremises,includingexaminationofdrainagesystems,disinfectinganddeodorising,carryingoutsurveysanddistributionofrelevantliterature.
PromotethePestControlservicesfornewbusinessandrefersalesenquirestothePestControlManager/Surveyor.
DrivingandmaintainingaCouncilvehicleinaccordancewiththeStaffCodeandotherapprovedpractices.
ReportingtothePestControlManagerdefectsinequipment,shortagesofmaterialsordefectsinvehicles.
Preparationofjobtickets,reports,andotherdocumentationinrelationtotheworkofthesection.Liaisonwithofficersinotherdepartmentsorwithinthedepartment,orwithotherexternalgroupsandorganisations,inrelationtotheworkofthesection.
PreparationreportsandevidencerequiredforlegalactionandattendanceatCourtwherenecessary.
Carryoutoccasionaldutiesoutsidenormalofficehoursasrequired.
Carryingoutresponsibilities/dutiesinaccordancewithanyapprovedqualityproceduraldocuments.
TorepresenttheCouncilinaprofessionalmannerwheninteractingwithclientsinthecourseofdeliveringPestControlservices.
Toberesponsibleforcarryingoutsurveysinaccordancewithagreedoperationalmethods
ApplicantsmustholdaBPCAOperatorscertificatelevel2oraRoyalSocietyofHealthPestControlcertificate
ExperienceindealingwithawiderangeofPublicHealthpests.
